Welcome!
A bit about me:
As a researcher, I consider myself a marine ecologist and biological oceanographer. I’m most interested in how finer scale processes such as physiology affect how marine invertebrates interact with their environment and other organisms on a broader scale. Marine invertebrates are of particular interest to me because they are incredibly diverse and inhabit essentially all ocean environments, but are often understudied. There are many knowledge gaps that need to be filled to better understand the roles marine invertebrates serve in their ecosystems. Food web modeling is one method I am using to ask and answer questions about how changes in physiology and interspecies interactions might affect the ecosystem as a whole. I also use laboratory experiments and am developing field experiments to fill in knowledge gaps in invertebrate physiology.
